Can i get a Coverup on a tribal tattoo?

I have a tattoo I want to coverup but the artist made it extremly dark so that it would take longer to fade if it ever does. It's a tribal tattoo that look sort of like an X and I want to cover it up with a vintage floral arrangment. Is it possible?
