Is "Betelgeuse about to go supernova" a comet elenin/nibiru coverup story?

I mean its 650 light years away, and even if it went supernova it only would appear as a bright star during the day but not as a second sun! and on the post on huffingtonpost.com its said that the earth may have no night during that time! How is this even possible, people say that elenin is nibiru and it would appear as a second sun before august 27th , is this a nibiru i.e a brown dwarf coverup? there also have been 3 major earthquakes when the comet lines up with earth and the sun, a normal comet cant do this.
